For years I felt so guilty that I had been feeding my children daily high doses of food coloring, sugar, nitrates and dozens of other chemicals in their daily food. Of course now I realize what I was feeding them was NOT food but simply fillers to fill up their tummies. How many of us do that everyday?
Instead we'd be better off to think about the nutrition levels available in REAL food. Single ingredient foods that do NOT require a label. Foods that are LIVING. The ones that get their energy from the sun and their nutrients from the earth. These are the foods that will sustain us and give us energy and life.
The guilt final stopped when I heard Maya Angelou say, "When you know better, you do better". That is sooooooooooo true but it is probably those guilt feelings all those years that make me want to tell every person walking down a grocery aisle STOP -- READ and LEARN what YOU are doing to your body.
