Plastic is made from petroleum byproducts (NOT even good enough to put in your car).
Would you pour gasoline over your food before you consumed it?
I doubt it. But that is exactly what we were doing for years when we nuked our food in plastic containers or covered glass containers with plastic wrap.
Think about what happens when you allow any kind of plastic to come in contact with hot or warm food.
My-oh-my we are slow learners. NO plastic near my food, thank you very much.
